In 1992, Ray Krone was sentenced to death in Arizona for a murder and kidnapping that DNA evidence later proved was committed by another man. After serving ten years in prison, some of it on death row, Ray was released and all charges against him were dismissed. He had no criminal record prior to his arrest on these charges.
Ray’s story is all too familiar. In fact, according to the Death Penalty Information Center, he is one of eight innocent people freed from death row in Arizona alone.
He became the 100th person freed because of innocence since the reinstatement of the death penalty in the United States in 1976.
Come listen to Ray’s powerful story this Sunday. You’ll have two opportunities to hear him, so don’t miss out!
