Project Homeless Connect Needs YOU!

Phc_2012

Last September, Memphis hosted its first Project Homeless Connect event. Here are some of the numbers . . .

  • 964 homeless individuals
  • 1090 volunteers
  • 271 housing applications
  • 297 dental screenings
  • 145 haircuts
  • 97 legal consultations

These are great numbers. It was an amazing day and a testament to the spirit of Memphis — those who have walked side-by-side with those who have not in a one-of-a-kind experience the city won’t soon forget.

Project Homeless Connect 2 is coming up next Thursday, and we need more volunteers. Lots more.

So talk to your boss. Make a pact with your roommate. Ask your spouse to watch the kids. Find a way to make this happen. We guarantee you won’t regret it.

Sign up here. Contact us via Facebook or Twitter if you have questions. We’ll see you there!
